New appointments for Scottish culture bodies
Scottish culture minister Fiona Hyslop has announced the appointment of three new board members at both National Galleries Scotland (NGS) and National Museums Scotland (NMS).
New members to serve on the NGS board of trustees include the former Museum of London governor, Lesley Knox, as well as Nicky Wilson, the founder and director of Jupiter Artland Foundation. Edinburgh College of Art principal Professor Ian Howard has also been appointed to the NGS board, with all three members serving a four-year term from 1 October.
Bruce Minto, the co-founder of law firm Dickson Minto; Miller McLean, a former chartered banker; and architect Jamie Troughton have all been appointed to the NMS board. Each of the appointments at NMS will also last for four-years from 1 October.
