Luxury hospitality group Regent Hotels & Resorts is to expand into the Latin American market with a resort and destination spa in La Punta Papagayo, Costa Rica.
The resort will be built on the Pacific coast of the Guancaste province in north west Costa Rica and will open in early 2009.
The Regent Papagayo’s wellness centre will offer views of the surrounding ocean, jungle and green ravines with treatment rooms shaped like tree houses and a selection of
custom-designed spa suites.
Regent Papagayo is being designed by Ronald Zürcher of Zürcher Arquitectos de Costa Rica and developed by the US-based company Kirchert Pakonen Development.
It is one of 10 new projects to be developed by Regent within the next two years.
