Leisure Opportunities supports active-net 2014 event
Leading industry title Leisure Opportunities, which circulates to more than 20,000 professionals in the sector every fortnight, has come on board to support active-net 2014.
With a website that boasts more than 450,000 unique users a month and a weekly ezine going out to 56,000 subscribers from the majority of leisure trusts, local authorities, universities and colleges, Leisure Opportunities is the ideal media partner for the inaugural active-net.
As well as attending and covering the buyer-meets-supplier event in a subsequent issue, the Leisure Opportunities team will also be providing delegate bags for all attendees.
Mike Hill, active-net event director and managing director of Leisure-net Solutions, said: "We’re thrilled that the leading multi-channel recruitment and news portal for the active leisure industry is on board as a supporter of active-net 2014.
"We now have more than 110 delegates attending and – with three months still to go – we’re delighted that the event is almost full, with only space for a few more suppliers.
"We’ve recently announced ukactive Chair and Chair of the Public Health Physical Activity Network, Fred Turok, as our keynote speaker and we’re keeping a few surprises up our sleeve for the event itself, to make sure it’s really unique."
Liz Terry, editor of Leisure Opportunities, said: "We're delighted to be involved as media partner with the first active-net event.
"The most exciting changes happening in our industry are driven by collaboration and partnerships, and because Leisure Opportunities exists to forge mutually advantageous connections between people at every level – from recruitment and training to purchasing and procurement – we believe it's a great fit with our own work and with the community of leisure professionals we work on behalf of."
A full complement of 56 buyers are now signed up to attend active-net, which is set to take place at the Ricoh Stadium in Coventry from April 30 to May 1 2014.
The event will bring together operators from across the public sector with suppliers for high level educational seminars, one-to-one meetings and a business-focused networking event.
