Interim profits for Jurys Doyle
Jurys Doyle, the Irish hotel group, as unveiled a 2.5 per cent rise in interim pre-tax profits to £19m.
The company said its performance had been bolstered by continued strength of the Jurys brand and its London hotels and the recovery of the USA hotel operations in Washington. But chairman, Richard Hooper, warned that reduced corporate activity continued to impact the larger Dublin hotels.
A 274-roomJurys Inn is due to open Newcastle in February followed by hotels in Glasgow, Leeds, Chelsea and a third Dublin hotel in late 2003 or early 2004.
