IHG to open Colombian property

The InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) is to open a Holiday Inn Express Hotel (HIE) with a health and fitness centre in Colombia.
The 19-storey, 96 bedroom hotel will be situated in the La Strada complex in Medellin and will also feature four meeting rooms, an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant.
The HIE portfolio currently includes more than 1,600 hotels throughout the world and 14 hotels in Latin America. In the past year, IHG has opened three Holiday Inn Express properties in Brazil and one in Chile.
