Health and lifestyle complex opens in Auckland Hyatt
The Hyatt regency Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand, has opened its brand new spa and fitness facilities – part of a (NZ)$65m development project.
Facilities at the Spa at the Hyatt include a 25m heated lap pool, a sauna and steamroom, spa bath and a juice bar offering fresh juices, smoothies and herbal tea along with a range of spa cuisine. Six spa treatment rooms offering face and body therapy treatments will open in early 2004, using international brands including Pevonia, Elemis and New Zealand-based Evolu.
The health club features cardiovascular and free weight equipment by Life Fitness, plus a range of strength training equipment by MTS Hammer Strength. Guests and members will be able to take advantage of personal training in the gym, as well as complimentary lifestyle consultation, image consultation, nutritional advice and life coaching. Early morning activities such as early bird stretching, power walks and spa educational seminars will also be available.
“The objective of Spa at the Hyatt is to provide our clientele with a lifestyle complex which rejuvenates the body, mind and spirit” says spa director, Lindsey Price.
The Hyatt Regency Hotel was built in the late 60’s. Its redevelopment programme includes the construction of apartment style suites, the expansion of the hotel’s banqueting and conference facilities and the opening g of the spa and fitness centre.
