Gosling agrees seven-year deal with resident football clubs
Gosling Sports Park, based in Welwyn Garden City, Herts, has signed a new seven-year deal to host both Hatfield Town and Codicote FC starting next season.
Hatfield Town (also know as the Blueboys), have decided to return to the club thanks to its impressive new 3G pitches and additional developments being made to its full size grass pitch - including a tunnel and steps (for a football stadium feel) - as advised by the FA and required for non-league step five clubs such as Hatfield.
The seven-year agreement will see both clubs regularly train at Gosling for a range of teams from under-9s up to their senior teams, with The Villager's secretary Ian Moody commenting: "Working with Gosling and the fantastic facilities they have at their disposal will allow us to develop as a club over the next seven years."
Mark Williams, commercial director at Gosling Sports Park added: "Gosling is delighted to welcome both clubs for the upcoming season, and hope they will enjoy our new pitches and football facilities which have proved to be a popular investment.
"Our seven third generation (3G) floodlight pitches are the latest and amongst the best facilities in the area for five-a-side football, training and even a unique eight-a-side pitch, plus the full-size grass pitch also.
"We look forward to working with our new resident clubs over the coming few years."
