General manager named for Legoland Florida
Adrian Jones has been appointed as general manager for the planned new Legoland Florida theme park in the US; his new role commences immediately.
A graduate of Nottingham Trent University in the UK and having worked in the leisure industry for more than 20 years, Jones has most recently been divisional director of Merlin Entertainments' Midway Attractions in the western United States. In the post he was responsible for the Legoland Discovery Centre in Schaumburg, Illinois, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas and Madame Tussauds Hollywood. During the construction phase of the Florida theme park, Jones will be working closely with John Ussher, Merlin Entertainments' general manager of global development for LEGOLAND.
Opening in the autumn of 2011, Legoland Florida will be a 145-acre family theme park geared specifically for children ages 2 to 12 and featuring more than 50 interactive rides, shows and attractions.
