GLL wins London training awards
Greenwich Leisure (GLL) has won awards for two of its training schemes.
The Recreation Assistant Academy and the Trainee Managers Scheme won the company the London Region Training Awards.
The Recreation Assistant Academy was created to train local unemployed young people to become qualified lifeguards, while the Trainee Manager Scheme develops future centre managers.
Mark Sesnan, managing director of GLL, said: “We are delighted to have won two London Regional Training Awards.
“As our business grows and the organisation changes, there is a growing need to attract, select, develop and organise talented people and strengthen our focus.
“We require many of our staff to possess a wide range of statutory qualifications and maintain their continued professional development (CPD).
Training, learning and development opportunities which meet business and individual needs are essential to GLL’s continued success and growth and these Awards are in recognition of that commitment.”
