Funding for Omagh community centre renovation
A community centre in Omagh, Northern Ireland, is to benefit from a £1.1m upgrade after the local authority secured funding from the Department for Social Development.
CKS Community Centre is to be extended and refurbished as part of the scheme, with new self-contained play group facilities boasting separate indoor and outdoor play areas. Omagh District Council has been handed £475,000 as part of the Neighbourhood Renewal programme and will provide the remaining balance itself.
Seskinore-based McCann Brothers has been appointed to carry out the work on behalf of the council, which is due to commence in the coming weeks.
