Freedom to run Brighton centres

Leisure trust Freedom Leisure has been chosen as the preferred partner by Brighton & Hove City Council to run six of the City's leisure facilities and paddling pools from 1 April 2011.
As part of the contract, Freedom will invest £500,000 in installing new equipment, supplied by Life Fitness, at Withdean Sports Complex, Prince Regent Swimming Complex, Stanley Deason Leisure Centre and Moulsecoomb Community Leisure Centre.
To allow for the upgrades to take place, Freedom will close the gym facilities for a series of days throughout April.
