Fire forces Getty evacuation

Officials at The Getty Center in Los Angeles, California, US, evacuated 1,600 visitors and 800 employees yesterday when a fire broke out in the nearby Santa Monica mountains.
The blaze, speculated to have started accidentally during a weed-abatement programme, reached within a mile of the museum site, precipitating a precautionary retreat.
No one was hurt in the fire, which is now under control.
