Feelgood Factor Awards open for nominations
The Fitness Industry Association (FIA) is urging its members to take part in a nationwide campaign to find "Healthy Heroes" - role models who inspire others to get more active and to improve their lifestyles.
The Feelgood Factor Awards scheme is lead by broadcaster ITV and the title will go to an individual who supports and enables others to change their lives for the better.
ITV viewers will be asked to put forward inspirational champions and the FIA is calling for members to put forward sports teachers, fitness instructors, medical professionals, social workers and community champions.
Nominations can be made via www.itv.com/prideofbritain. The deadline for nominations is Friday August 27th.
Each of the regional finalists and a guest will be invited to attend the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards which are sponsored at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane in November.
The two-hour Pride of Britain Awards will be screened on ITV1 in the autumn.
