Health and racquets club operator Esporta has extended its non-smoking policy to include the outdoor areas of its 55 premium clubs across the country.

Chief operating officer, Steve Charlton said staff would be enforcing the policy to introduce a smoke free environment for all members and guests entering the grounds of all of its clubs.

“We’ve never had smoking in our health clubs,” Charlton said. “But from the beginning of this year, we have completely banned smoking from any Esporta premises.

“Our outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts are now going to be completely smoke free so that people can enjoy the fresh air without having to breath in second-hand smoke.”
