A £7m Discovery Centre has opened in Winchester to provide a centre of learning, leisure and creativity.
The new cultural venue offers two galleries showcasing the history of the building and area, archive footage and activities for families; a performance hall for theatre performances; a café bar playing acoustics by local artists and a library resource centre.
Executive member for recreation and heritage, Cllr Margaret Snaith, said: “I hope the centre will stretch the concept of an educational building to the limits, with literacy, history and the arts all combined in one space.”
