Course search facility launched
The Register of Exercise Professionals has launched a unique online search facility which lets members and employers find the most appropriate training courses for them in their area.
Members were previously able to search for training providers who offer qualifications that give entry to the register as well as those that carry CPD points. But until now these searches – which run into thousands on a weekly basis – have been limited to the training provider’s contact details.
The new search facility, which went live on 6 June, now lets any visitor to the REPs’ website search training (both qualifications and endorsed CPD) by key word, category of training, training provider name, location and date range.
Having found the training they are interested in, the new system details date and time, location, venue and cost of the training as well as the number of CPD points awarded, a description and the ability to show an expression of interest by provisionally booking with the training provider.
At the moment any approved and endorsed course has been listed for free on the search directory with scope for training providers to add additional details and information.
Registrar Cliff Collins said: “This is a huge undertaking by the Register but one which, we feel, will be of enormous benefit to our members.
“They will be able to hand-pick the course that matches their needs most closely and book it on-line in one sitting rather than having to wade through mountains of literature.
“We hope training providers will be as thrilled with this as we are and will support it as much as possible. We will also be offering a clear distinction between training which leads to a qualification and that which just goes to support CPD.”
Please note that details of courses, venues and times are being uploaded on a daily basis by REPs approved training providers.
REPs approved training providers are encouraged to visit the website and ensure their current courses and details are listed.
