Clubhaus gets new chair and announces asset sale
Clubhaus has appointed a new non-executive chairman and is planning to sell a number of assets in order to concentrate on its UK country clubs.
John Hume, a solicitor who advised Clubhaus on the £110 debt restructuring completed in May, has replaced non-executive chair, Robert Bourne. The company says its decision to focus on the UK country club format is supported by an improvement in trading. Between January and March 4,400 new memberships were sold - a rise of 15 per cent on the same three months last year.
Clubhaus has two golf courses and a gentleman's club in London, which will be sold and intends selling its continental operations. Details: www.clubhaus.com
