Clapham One leisure scheme reaches milestone

Construction firm Morgan Sindall has completed work on the steel frame of a new £17m leisure facility being developed by the Cathedral Group in Clapham, London.
Work will now commence on the roof of the sports complex, which occupies the site of a former facility in Clapham Manor Street and forms part of the Clapham One scheme. The 5,244sq m (56,446sq ft) leisure centre will house a 25m swimming pool; a teaching pool; a 100-station fitness suite; a fourt-court sports hall; and two dance studios.
An indoor climbing wall is also proposed as part of the leisure element, while residential units will also be created as part of the Clapham One development.
