Chelsea Club opens spa
The Chelsea Club, a members only health club at the Stamford Bridge football stadium in London, has opened a luxury spa.
Operated by Chelsea Football Club, the new 500sq ft Escape Spa opened earlier this month and boasts four treatment rooms, a manicure and pedicure area, a relaxation area and an infrared sauna.
Treatments on offer include a range of facials, massages, reflexology, reiki and body wraps as well as waxing and nail treatments.
The treatments at the spa use Elemis and ONLY YOURx products. According to Lisa Butterworth, spa manager, the therapists at Escape Spa have been trained up by the products houses to administer the treatments, but the spa also has an ongoing training programme for its staff.
The spa is part of the Chelsea Club and aims to attract both members of the health club as well as the general public.
Facilities at the adjacent, 40,000sq ft gym include a 25m swimming pool, 36 cv stations, a free weights room, two group exercise studios and three fitness rooms.
The gym equipment has been supplied by Technogym and includes the Kinesis system.
The Chelsea Club currently has 720 members and has plans to cap membership at 1,300.
