Charlotte Church launches online nature and belonging course called The Dreaming of the Earth
Welsh music star, TV personality and activist Charlotte Church has launched an eight-part online wellness course called The Dreaming of the Earth for participants to learn how to connect with nature.
The course, led by Church herself, is described as a retreat that incorporates ritual, imagination, song and practices rooted in the earth.
Designed as an escape from “the cacophony of modern life”, the course will teach participants how to ground themselves in everyday life and nurture a sense of belonging in nature.
The “land-led” series is advertised as an invitation to participants to be creative and curious, rather than striving for a sense of achievement. Guidance will be provided on using one’s hands to make things, singing and how to walk with intention.
Participants will also learn about how to create sacred spaces for themselves in nature, listen to their own bodies through an immersive sound practice, reflect via journaling for inner exploration and build rituals that can be repeated.
The videos of Church have been filmed at her retreat, The Dreaming, which opened in 2023 at the former home of the late fashion designer Laura Ashley, in the Elan Valley in Powys, Wales.
