Cards for Heroes
Carlisle Leisure Limited has announced a new initiative aimed at serving members of our armed forces and their families giving them free access to leisure facilities in Carlisle and Allerdale when they are home on leave.
The scheme will mean that serving men and women, resident in Carlisle and Allerdale will be able to apply for a free family 'Lifestyle Premier' membership which can be used at Carlisle's Sands Centre, Swimming Pools, Bitts Park and Sheepmount Facilities as well as the company's school facilities at Morton and Trinity School.
Additionally the cards can be used at Workington and Cockermouth leisure centres and at Keswick Leisure Pool.
Andy King, Managing Director at CLL commented: "We have all been struck by pictures of service men and women returning to the county in recent weeks and are conscious of their service to the county and our country and the often short time they have with their families while they are at home. As a company we wanted to give something back to these brave people and this scheme we hope will do that whilst enabling them to spend some quality leisure time with their families whilst on leave."
The scheme is available to serving service people, their partners and their children. Application forms will be available from all of the centres above from Thursday 19th November 2010.
