CEO appointed at Millennium and Copthorne
Millennium and Copthorne (M and C), the hotels and resorts group, has appointed Richard Hartman as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Hartman, who retired as managing director of InterContinental Hotels Group’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region in September last year, has been recruited to fill the CEO post at Millennium & Copthorne that has been vacant since last August.
Wong Hong Ren, an executive director at M and C, was standing in as chief executive after Peter Papadimitropoulos quit the job after just six months.
Kwek Leng Beng, chair of M andC, said: “Millennium and Copthorne is very fortunate to have secured such an experienced and senior individual as Richard.
“We look forward to benefiting from his strong operational skills as we continue to develop M and C as a world-class hotel group.”
M and C, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, has a portfolio of more than 110 luxury hotels in 18 countries, many with spa and wellness facilities. Its hotels are operated under three brands – Millennium Hotels, Copthorne Hotels and Kingsgate Hotels & Resorts.
