Resort and spa developer and operator Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts has revealed details of its global expansion plans for 2009.
First to debut in early 2009 will be the Banyan Tree Mayakoba, located on the coastline of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The resort will boast a signature Banyan Tree spa with hydrotherapy facilities and 16 treatment rooms.
Next to launch, in April, will be the Banyan Tree Ras Al Wadi desert resort and spa in the UAE. Located in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, it will offer a dune camp experience. Set against the backdrop of the Al Hajjar Mountains, the resort has been designed to resemble an Arabian fortress.
In June 2009, the all-pool villa resort Banyan Tree Cabo Marques in Acapulco, Mexico, will open. Located on a clifftop overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the resort will boast a Banyan Tree Spa complex. Details: banyantree.com
