Austrian hotel opens wellness centre
A large wellness centre has opened at the Quellenhotel and Spa property in Bad Waltersdorf within the Styrian region of southern Austria.
Costing 5m euro (US$7.37m, £3.71m), the interiors of the Quellenoasis centre were designed by Zangger & Zangger with consultation from Schletterer Wellness & Spa Design.
Covering 32,291sq ft (3,000sq m), the new centre has a natural swimming lake, with an infinity-edge thermal mineral pool and a ladies-only area. It joins an existing (269,097sq ft) (25,000sq m) day spa.
Other facilities include steamrooms, meditation rooms and a relaxation area with rocking loungers and water beds.
Spa treatments will include holistic signature therapies using Traditional Styrian medicine (TSM) and local produce such as apples, pumpkin oil and peat. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is also available as well as thermal mineral water therapy. Products from Decléor, Phytobiodermie and Valmont will be used.
Further treatments are available in the existing spa attached to the hotel. (See Spa Business 08/02 p14. To order, visit www.spabusiness.com)
