Arts Council grant for The Hub

The Arts Council has awarded The Hub National Centre for Craft & Design in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, a grant totalling £64,000 to develop a programme of touring exhibitions.
The funding will run until early 2013 and will allow The Hub to create touring exhibitions for key galleries that it curates.
Melanie Kidd, head of exhibitions, said: "Over the next three years we want to consolidate our touring programme. Our ambition, which is fuelled by the under representation of craft and design practice in the wider visual arts sector, is to see that these art forms are valued and celebrated to the same degree."
