Allegria Spa to relaunch at Park Hyatt Colorado
The US$12m (9.4m euro, £6.3m) Allegria Spa is to reopen at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek resort in Colorado, US, in late December as part of a US$20m (15.6m euro, £10.5m) total renovation of the property.
Officially launching on 22 December, the 30,000sq ft (2,790sq m) spa will boast 23 new treatment rooms alongside water therapy areas, a new reception space, an outdoor heated pool and five hot tubs and an enlarged fitness area.
Treatments will focus on water experiences and utilise the healing waters of Colorado’s natural hot springs while a ‘water sanctuary’ area will contain three new thermal pools, separated for men, women and couples to use.
Each new treatment room has been named after one of Colorado’s indigenous plants with medicinal qualities, such as Fireweed and Marshmallow. Native plans and herbs will also feature in the new spa menu.
One of the new, season-based, signature treatments will be the pampering wild rose cure, which will include a hydrating rose body mist, an application of calming essential rose oil, a wildflower herbal body scrub and the application of violet-infused compresses.
Other spa brands at Allegria will include Epicuren, Kneipp and Jurlique.
Activities available at the resort – which is situated high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains – include indoor and outdoor yoga, Pilates, kinesis, guided snowshoeing, hiking and BOSU.
The resort also boasts 190 guest bedrooms, a golf course, year-round ice-skating and more than 20,000sq ft (1,860sq m) of indoor and outdoor event space. Details: www.allegriaspa.com
