A Bahrain first for Fitness First
The Bahrain World Trade Center (BWTC), the Kingdom’s leading mixed-use commercial development, has announced that Fitness First will operate its 2,600sq m (27,990sq ft) health club – the chain’s first site in Bahrain.
Facilities at the site, due to open in January 2008, include a 100-station gym, two studios offering over 100 group exercise classes a week, an outdoor swimming pool and relaxation area overlooking the Arabian Gulf and a sauna and steam room.
There will also be a members’ lounge and a ladies-only private workout zone staffed exclusively by female instructors.
Members will also be able to use any Fitness First club across the world – over 500 clubs across 16 countries with a total of over 1.4 million members. Gary Knill, CEO for Fitness First in the Middle East, says: “We are entering into our third year of expansion in the Middle East.
With the addition of this exceptional site in Bahrain we now have 10 clubs in Dubai, Jordan and Lebanon with new facilities opening in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Qatar in 2008. We’re proud to locate our first Bahrain club in the BWTC.”
