UKFN reaches landmark
The UK Fitness Network (UKFN), a marketing initiative involving clubs and leisure centres managed by members of the Sports and Recreation Trust Association (sporta), has reached 200 sites.
UKFN has been set up as a non-profit making limited company and currently includes 26 leisure trusts.
As part of the expansion plans for the initiative, Trusts taking part in UKFN will be able to allow each others' members to "pay and play" at their sites from 1 September.
Phil Rumbelow, chair of UKFN, said the network was looking to increase the number of clubs involved later this year. Joining the scheme is free for trust.
