Sondre Gravir says 'more members are training more' as he reveals record revenues at SATS

SATS achieved record revenues in 2025, up by 9 per cent
EBITDA, EBIT and membership also increased
Investment in group training is paying off
The momentum has continued into 2026

Nordic operator, SATS, ended 2025 on a high with record revenues, 22,000 more members and more member activity. The momentum has continued into this year.

For the full year, membership was up 3 per cent, revenues up 9 per cent, EBITDA up 18 per cent and EBIT up 24 per cent.

The focus on group training is driving the performance – 49.4 million training sessions were completed at SATS centres in 2025. Group training was up by 11 per cent in the fourth quarter compared to the previous year and in January 2026 there were 7 per cent more unique visitors than in January the previous year.

SATS has strengthened and adapted its offering based on data and insights over the past year, investing in new training concepts, such as Reformer and Hot studios, as well as areas for indoor running.

“We are very pleased with the end of 2025,” says CEO Sondre Gravir. “More members are training more, and the strong growth in group training shows that the desire for community in training is stronger than ever. When people train together and stay active over time, it builds good habits, creates the joy of training in everyday life and strengthens public health.

“I am proud of how our teams across the Nordics have continued to improve the SATS offering throughout the year. Strong member engagement and rising activity levels, combined with solid financial results, confirm that the improvements we make matter to our members in their everyday training.”

SATS launched the 2026 Fitness Report, at the start of this year, which is based on responses from 4,000 people in the Nordic region. It revealed that good mental health is among the most important reasons to stay active, and that fitness centres are increasingly functioning as important social meeting places.

Revenues for the fourth quarter were up by 9 per cent on the previous year and full year revenues were also up 9 per cent to a record high of NOK 5,509 million (€486 million, £424 million, US$579 million).

In the fourth quarter, the company had revenues of NOK 1,428 million (€126 million, £110 million, US$150 million ) an increase of 9 per cent from the same period last year.

EBITDA before IFRS 16 reached NOK 224 million (€19.8 million, £17.2 million, $US 23.5 million) in the fourth quarter – 28 percent higher than the previous year.

For the full year 2025, EBITDA before IFRS 16 for the year increased by 18 per cent to NOK 871 million (€77 million, £67 million, US$91 million).

The Board of Directors has proposed a semi-annual dividend of NOK 0.67 per share (€0.06, £0.05, $US0.07) pending approval in an Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on March 3, 2026.

Gravir has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at the 2026 HCM Summit, taking place in London in October. Tickets will be on sale soon. www.HCMsummit.live
