Buxton Pool to reopen next month

High Peak Borough Council (HPBC) has announced that the refurbished Buxton Pool is to reopen to the public on 1 August, following the completion of work at the venue.
The council has worked in partnership with operator DC Leisure to deliver improvements at the facility, which features a new gym and a modern changing village. Contractors returned the building to HPBC and DC Leisure on 11 July after completing the revamp, which encountered delays following the discovery of asbestos and other issues.
HPBC executive councillor for community services Anthony McKeown said: : The refurbishment of the pool and construction of the fitness gym show that we're continuing to invest in our communities and in promoting healthy lifestyles."
