Zynk was created in 1998 by Stavros Theodoulou to be become the global leader in wellness design. From our Studio in Berkshire, we work on projects across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia and USA.

case study: Koru Health Club
Koru Health Club Luxembourg reimagines the fitness environment through a design concept rooted in fluidity and contrast.
The interior architecture establishes a striking visual symbiosis between raw utility and modern elegance, featuring flowing lines of light that glide seamlessly alongside exposed mechanical services. This rhythmic interplay is softened by a sophisticated colour palette of warm tones punctuated by bold maroon accents, while integrated digital elements add a layer of futuristic interactivity to the otherwise organic flow of the space.
The expansive facility is meticulously zoned to balance high-performance energy with restorative wellness. The active floor features a large main gym, a dedicated Personal Training studio, and a basketball court, all overlooked by a mezzanine-level café that serves as a vantage point for the bustling activity below.
To complete the user journey, the layout transitions into premium recovery zones, including luxury male and female changing suites, private treatment rooms for wellness therapy, and a separate, secluded spa.

case study: My Protein Gym
Zynk have completed the design of the Myprotein Gym for global technology business THG, located in THG’s ICON Studios in Manchester.
The brief for the 4,000 sq/ft space was to design a completely immersive experience that can morph from a cutting-edge workout space to a dynamic branded environment for the promotion of Myprotein brand, with an AV system never before seen in a UK gym.
The Myprotein Gym consists of multiple zones including strength, free weights, cardio and functional, with luxury changing rooms and accessible facilities.
Utilising Technogym’s Skill, Artis and Pure Strength ranges, each zone has rows of LCD screens that have been placed behind mirrors. These screens can be activated individually, giving users control of each screen for mirroring workout apps from their smart devices. They can also be connected to specific pieces of equipment or combined for a fully immersive experience.
Alternatively, the screens can be linked to run branded promotions for products such as Myprotein, ideal for photoshoots when the company has brand ambassadors and influencers working out in the space.
The main feature of the gym is located above the functional zone: a suspended cube of digital LED light fittings that can work in unison to generate 3D images. These images can be used for training and functional programmes, or as brand promotion.
The design direction and materiality reflect that of urban luxury with the use of hot-rolled steel panels, pale oak, cement renders, nickel mesh and poured finish sports flooring.
The overall scheme is unique for a training space, putting the user at the centre of an interactive, immersive experience and showcasing materials and finishes which not only create a dynamic workout environment, but are also fit for purpose.

Zynk delivered a complete renovation of Better Gym Connswater in Belfast for GLL, transforming the existing facility into a dynamic, movement-led fitness environment anchored by bold lighting design and a refreshed spatial layout.
The renovation of Better Gym Connswater redefines the existing facility as a dynamic, energised environment designed to support movement for all users. Centred around the concept of motion, the design draws inspiration from the building’s existing curved structure, allowing form, flow and circulation to shape the spatial experience.
Lighting plays a key role in this transformation. A bold, layered lighting feature forms a visual centrepiece, creating an immediate sense of energy from the moment you enter the space. The tonal colour palette adds depth and contrast against the blue wash of light, reinforcing Better Gym’s brand identity throughout.
