Technogym launches 2018 edition of 'Let's Move for a Better World' campaign
Technogym has announced the launch of the 2018 edition of its global ‘Let’s Move for a Better World’ campaign.
The campaign, which is in its fifth year, is designed to promote wellness and a healthy lifestyle, and motivates participants to exercise, by ‘donating’ their movements in order to promote the benefits of exercise and healthy living in their communities.
Members accumulate moves, which are logged through Technogym’s cloud-based platform, mywellness. The facilities that collect the highest number of moves are able to win and donate the latest Technogym equipment to a local non-profit organisation of their choice.
In addition operators can use the campaign as a tool to build member loyalty and engagement, with Technogym claiming that clubs that participated in the 2017 edition of the campaign saw visits go up by an average of 23 per cent, new memberships increase by 13 per cent and an overall increase in the motivation and engagement of existing members.
Since its inception in 2014 the ‘Let’s Move for a Better World’ campaign has seen 482 million moves collected from 142,000 participants across 26 countries and 782 clubs. Participants have burned a total of 201 million calories and a loss of 64,000 lbs (28,800 kg).
The campaign will run across participating facilities until 31 March 2018.
With over 2,000 employees across 14 branches, Technogym is present in over 100 countries. More than 65,000 wellness centres are equipped with Technogym and 35 million users train every day on Technogym equipment. Technogym was the official supplier for the past seven Olympic Games, from Sydney 2000 to PyeongChang 2018.
