Rethink rehab with GRAVITY

Getting a client fully fit after injury can be a challenge. Training methods have to be fully customised to suit client/patient needs, building conditioning and fitness while respecting the integrity of the injured body part.

GRAVITY's Post Rehab programming on Total Gym equipment offers rehabilitation and wellness clinics, such as Drummond Clinic in Maidenhead, a flexible solution with adaptive training paradigms and multiple applications.

"Adaptability and versatility are so important," says Alex Drummond, Clinical Director at Drummond Clinic.

"Our trainers apply unique knowledge and experience to each client's needs whether regaining strength and full range of movement following injury or improving fitness."

Total Gym equipment was originally developed for rehabilitation over 20 years ago, allowing users to perform functional movements at variable resistances.

The glideboard and cable pulley system can take stress off injured parts of the body and gradually rebuild conditioning to get back to full fitness in a smooth, low impact environment.

It's so effective and versatile that GRAVITY training programmes are also taught by Drummond Education, the company's training provider arm. The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court also uses the kit.

"Gyms and clinics have to adapt and diversify, investing intelligently in equipment that really helps maximise time and space and ultimately is affordable both for clinic and client," says Drummond.

"When not being used for one-on-one rehab, it is perfect for personal training. We also run small group circuit classes, using functional equipment like ViPR, freeFORM and kettlebells alongside the Total Gym machine. It's in use all day and never sits idle – providing a constant return on investment. And if we need the space for something else, we can easily fold it up and store."

The Total Gym equipment can target every single muscle in the body, using over 200 exercises and variable resistance via the moveable glideboard to harness bodyweight - progressing or regressing any movement for individual ability.
