Physical Company has launched the FLOWIN® Friction Training™ Concept in the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands.

The FLOWIN® Concept has been created by a group of elite decathletes with an extensive history and competence in medicine, top-level athlete training and healthcare.

The fundamental principles of the FLOWIN® Concept are based on vertically constricted movements over a larger plate, while friction is off-loaded by smaller pads sliding horizontally across the plate. The plate is portable – making it ideal for group formats such as core, circuits and strength training – and also features points of reference for achieving the most from workouts. It can easily be stored and adds a new dimension to group training.

The pad and plate friction has been carefully optimised for a safe yet effective motion, which the exerciser is able to fully master by simply altering the amount of applied pressure on the pads.

The FLOWIN® products have a wide range of uses by a variety of different people – from professional athletes to personal trainers and gym goers – while the kit can also be used for rehabilitation purposes within healthcare programmes. The FLOWIN® plate can also be used to introduce children to strength training.

For the physiotherapist and patient, the FLOWIN® training modes offer active flexibility training at its best. Friction Training™ with the FLOWIN® device offers a comprehensive support system of rehabilitation. Safe stabilisation exercises can be performed, as well as maintaining the workload, even at the end of the ROM (range of motion).
