Soak Bathhouse continues rollout with sixth location
Soak Bathhouse will open its second site in Melbourne, Australia, in August. The new site follows the successful launch of Soak Bathhouse South Yarra, also in Melbourne, in June of last year.
Soak Bathhouse South Melbourne will be the company’s sixth site since it first launched its Soak Mermaid Beach location in January 2021 on the Gold Coast.
Alexis Dean, Soak Bathhouse co-founder, said: “At Soak Bathhouse, we believe wellness is something that’s meant to be shared. With South Melbourne, we wanted to create a space that reflects the local community — somewhere people can gather, build rituals and experience wellness as part of everyday life.”
The new 700sq m bathhouse will be located within a residential and lifestyle development by Lowe Living, which has been designed by architects Woods Bagot.
The design is inspired by the location’s history. Drawing on the features of the Emerald Hill suburb, the bathhouse will have a warm, clay-toned palette to reflect the area’s terracotta brick buildings. Greenery will be layered throughout the space to provide the signature Soak Bathhouse oasis atmosphere.
The facilities will include hot and warm magnesium-rich mineral pools, a cold plunge, plus cedarwood saunas and steamrooms.
There will also be an infrared sauna, red light therapy and massage treatments.
The price of soak sessions will start at AUS$39 (US$25, €23, £20).
