SLM retains Stratford contract

Sports Leisure Management (SLM) has been has been selected to retain its contract with Stratford District Council for the operation of the four leisure centres: Stratford, Shipston, Studley and Southam.
SLM beat off competition from Parkwood, Nuffield and Wychavon Leisure to win the 7-year contract with a 3-year extension.
A spokesperson said: "This marks the start of an exciting period for the Stratford contract with a major refurbishment of the fitness suite at Stratford Leisure and visitor centre starting imminently.
"The contract has also created the position of Active Communities Manager – a position that will be responsible for driving and developing the Everyone Active brand in the contract and for developing greater links with Stratford District Council."
