QHotels expands with Moat House
Leeds-based QHotels has acquired the Cheltenham & Gloucester Moat House Hotel in Brockworth, near the Cotswolds, in Gloucestershire for a sum thought to be around £20m.
The name of the hotel was changed immediately on acquisition to the Cheltenham & Gloucester Chase Hotel.
Facilities at the 120-room hotel include 11 meeting rooms, a health and fitness club, an indoor swimming pool and a restaurant and bar.
Michael Purtill, managing director, said: “This property is in a very good strategic location in relation to the other hotels in our estate and we will invest £3m in refurbishing the bedrooms and leisure facilities.”
The Cheltenham & Gloucester Chase Hotel is the seventh property owned and operated by QHotels.
