Pumping it up with ZigZag
ZigZag is set to launch the second generation of fitness dance platforms at this year’s Leisure Industry Week.
Xer-Dance, teamed with ‘Pump it Up’ software, will - it is reported - be the most advanced dance system available when it is unveiled in the UK on 24 September.
ZigZag’s original Machine Dance already features in more than 30 health clubs, leisure centres and schools around the country, but the company expects Xer-Dance to be an even bigger hit.
The new wireless system - created by ZigZag, Sportwall Inc and software experts Andamiro - has the capability to run 32 platforms at any one time, and the advanced software can run three levels of difficulty simultaneously.
Pump it Up senses each users dance level and can adjust the difficulty rating to suit each player mid-game. The software also features a variety of fitness workouts including fat burner, interval and steady.
However, the largest investment has been in the licensing of popular music for the system to engage all age ranges and music tastes using current chart songs.
Fergus Ahern, Director of ZigZag says: "Due to ZigZag’s understanding and knowledge of wireless dance systems, it made perfect sense to team up Sportwall Inc and Andamiro in the US to create our own wireless system.
"ZigZag is renowned for providing serious fitness for people that want to play and this new product is no exception; we're delighted to be bringing this more advanced dance system to the UK."
