Precor has recently donated state-of-the-art fitness equipment to the coalition forces serving in Afghanistan.
Ralf Moeller, the Hollywood star who has appeared in films including Gladiator and The Scorpion King, flew out to Afghanistan to present the Precor equipment – which included treadmills, strength equipment and a cross trainer – to the German soldiers stationed at a camp in the city of Mazār-e Sharīf in the Balkh province of northern Afghanistan.
Mark Fest, Precor’s senior sales director for Export and Continental Europe, explains: “For troops stationed in Afghanistan, who for much of their time are restricted to the confines of camp, it can be difficult to maintain a high level of physical fitness.
“Precor was delighted to provide strength and cardiovascular equipment to these soldiers. We hope it will not only ensure that they stay in peak physical condition while they’re in camp, but also that working out on the equipment helps to keep morale high.”
