US healthcare retail company the Paquin Group has acquired the Portofino Medical Spa in Florida, US, from Baptist Health Care.
The Portofino Medical Spa is a 8,000sq ft (743sq m) medical and day spa located on the waterfront in Pensacola, Florida.
The spa offers a full range of services including Botox, Restalyne, Thermage and IPL alongside day spa services.
Tony Paquin, group CEO, said: “This acquisition is the first step in our strategy to own and manage retail enterprises in partnership with our hospital clients throughout the US.”
The Paquin Group has also entered discussions to jointly develop another spa with a Florida-based hospital later in 2007. The spa would be approximately 2,000sq ft (189sq m) and would be located on the hospital campus.
