New shoreline plan for Neath Port Talbot
Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has launched a three-month public consultation to gather feedback on a draft shoreline management plan.
The document examines how the local authority can maintain and protect a section of South Wales coast between Barry near Cardiff and St Ann's Head in Pembrokeshire. Council leader Ali Thomas said: "In partnership with all the relevant agencies, we need to plan the best way forward to manage the changing South Wales coast both now and for future generations."
The draft shoreline management plan also deals with how councils and agencies will tackle issues such as climate change, increasing sea levels and coastal erosion. The consultation closes on 6 December.
