Marriott Hotels & Resorts has launched its 14th property in China with the opening of a new hotel and spa in Shanghai.

The group opened the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Pudong East under a long-term management agreement with Shanghai Hengchang Industry Company.

Located in the centre of Pudong, the hotel features 323 guestrooms and suites as well as a spa with four treatment rooms.

Spa facilities include a spa pools, a 22m heated indoor swimming pool, steamrooms and saunas.

Dining options include Man Ho, the signature Chinese restaurant of Marriott Hotels & Resorts serving Cantonese and Shanghai cuisine and featuring private dining rooms.

Other restaurants include Italian-inspired Casalingo and Pudong City Bistro offering international dishes.

The hotel offers 1,705 sq m (18,352sq ft) of banquet space including a grand ballroom and 10 function rooms.
