Property agents Christie + Co are to sell a group of UK properties currently owned by Starwood Capital's Louvre Hotels brand.

The portfolio of 18 sites consists of 17 Campanile hotels and one Première Classe-branded property, comprising 1,549 bedrooms in total. A mixture of freehold and long leasehold sites, they are spread across the UK in locations such as Cardiff, Glasgow, Birmingham, Liverpool, and Manchester.

Campanile is Louvre Hotels' two-star chain, operating in nine European countries through a network of more than 380 hotels and restaurants. All the properties for sale are available with a management contract with Louvre Hotels under the Campanile brand. Jeremy Jones, director at Christie + Co, said: "The opportunity to acquire more than 1,500 bedrooms in some of the UK's best trading locations is something of a rarity.

"We anticipate a strong response reflecting the quality of the opportunity and the ability to keep growing one of Europe's best known hotel brands."
