Liverpool in takeover talks
Kuwaiti billionaire, Nasser Al-Kharafi, is reportedly in discussions with Liverpool Football Club (LFC) co-owner Tom Hicks regarding a possible takeover bid.
According to the BBC, Al-Kharafi is worth around £9bn and initially entered talks with Hicks, along with fellow co-owner, George Gillet, as part of attempts to fund LFC's new stadium at Stanley Park. Hicks and Gillet only acquired LFC two years ago for £218m, but already seem willing to sell and have valued the club at £550m.
