Isles of Scilly visitor experience enhanced
Eight ancient monuments on the Isles of Scilly are the focus of an English Heritage-led scheme, which aims to improve the visitor experience of the historic sites.
Work to re-display each of the islands' historic sites, including prehistoric burial mounds and shipwrecks, has been completed by English Heritage. New panels will give visitors an insight into the monuments' past. Audio tours and clips have also been made available for download as part of the improvement, which have been designed for iPods, mobile phones and MP3 players.
English Heritage interpretation officer Susan Holmes said: "These improved facilities will mean that visitors will be able to really step back in time and immerse themselves into the rich histories of the Isles of Scilly."
