Forfar skatepark plans approved
Plans to create a new £107,000 skatepark facility at the Lochside Leisure Centre in Forfar, east Scotland, have been given the green light by the local authority.
Angus Council's development standards committee approved the proposals for the creation of a concrete wheeled sports area at the leisure centre, which will include a 1.3m (4.3ft)-high funbox platform and a 1.8m (5.9ft) quarter pipe. A new access path, four lighting columns and cycle stands are also included as part of the scheme, which is to be funded by Forfar Wheeled Sports Association, Forfar Common Good Fund and the council's parks and cemeteries repairs and renewals fund.
