Dublin parks to join European network
Dublin City Council in Ireland has applied to become a part of the European Garden Heritage Network in an effort to promote the city to visitors.
If successful, Dublin parks will join one hundred other historical green spaces around Europe of regional or international significance. The aim of the network is to highlight the contribution these space have on regional identity Currently there are 16 partners from Germany, England and France working as part of the network to improve the way their parks and landscaped gardens are promoted. So far UK partners include Somerset County Council, Surrey County Council, Cheshire County Council, the Royal Horticultural Society Garden Wisley and Surrey Gardens Trust.
