Arctic Survival Challenge for PTs
A charity is looking to attract personal trainers and fitness professionals to take part in a gruelling challenge that will test the mettle of the most hardened adrenalin junkies.
Taking place in northern Sweden, the Arctic Survival Challenge is an open charity challenge and will give participants a chance to adapt to, and live in, the Arctic environment.
Over eight days (30 January - 6 February 2011), participants will learn all about - and try out - husky driving, ice fishing, fire lighting, building shelters, walking in snow shoes and cross-country skiing.
The challenge ends in a two-day survival phase where they'll be totally reliant on their new skills. Entry costs £299 and the minimum target to raise for charity is £3,500.
