Spanish hotel group Iberostar has announced record turnover for 2006.
The group, which currently operates 98 hotels in Europe and South America, reported a turnover of 729m euro (US$950m, £485m) for the year, up 12 per cent on 2005’s figure of 650m euro (US$847m, £433m).
Iberostar also announced that it is on course to open its 100th hotel later this year in Jamaica. The group plans to open up 12 new hotels by the end of 2008.
