£1.1m investment for Kent leisure centre

Ashford Borough Council's (ABC leisure centre in Tenterden, Kent, will benefit from £1.1m worth of investment following the signing of a new 10-year management contract.
The local authority has agreed terms with Tenterden Leisure Centre Trust (TLCT), which will deliver services at the facility and seek to improve participation in the area. Work will include an extension to the leisure centre's gym to be carried out this month, while a major refurbishment of the wet and dry changing rooms are also proposed.
TLCT chair John Rymer-Jones said: "There are new activities being made available at an affordable cost for the whole community to enjoy."
